    Amy Fujii is a sake enthusiast who is new to both sake and Japan -- having moved to Tokyo with her family in 2020. Back in Washington, DC, she was a technical writer and avid volunteer. She still volunteers in Tokyo and now indulges a long standing interest in Japanese history by visiting as many historic sites and having as many cultural experiences as possible. She is grateful for the community that welcomes English speaking foreign nationals to the world of sake.

    Anat Parnass is a photographer with BA in Japanese studies and PhD in visual arts, JSA Sake expert, WSET Sake Level 3 Arrived in Japan in April 2006 after receiving the MEXT scholarship to continue her photography studies. Graduated from Japan University College of Art (NICHIGEI), In 2013 after completing PhD studies which addressed themes related to gender and photography in Japan, and in particular the so-called ‘Girls Photography Boom’ phenomenon. She holds a great interest and passion related to food and beverages in Japan, especially traditional fermentation methods, the magic of Kōji, the beauty of Japanese confectionery (Wagashi) and, by all means, the fascinating world of SAKE.
