We went to the Gonda Syuzo (Sake Brewery) in Kumagaya to experience sake brewing.

Gonda Sake Brewery is a historic sake brewery located in Kumagaya City, Saitama Prefecture. It was founded in the Kaei era (1850) at the end of the Edo period and has been in the sake brewing business for about 170 years.

The representative brand is “Naozane", and its Junmai Daiginjo and Tokubetsu Junmai sakes are especially popular.

In sake brewing, they actively incorporate local ingredients, such as sourcing Saitama Prefecture’s unique sake rice “Sake Musashi" from Kumagaya and using Saitama’s unique yeast developed at a research institute in Kumagaya.

It was a great program that included experiencing the various steps of sake brewing, touring the sake brewery, delicious country home cooking, and all-you-can-drink sake.
I was able to once again realize that sake brewing is hard work and difficult.
Everyone worked hard to make sake, looking forward to the party that followed.
The sake you make will be delivered to your home in one and a half months.
